Brett Ames (Pitching) Batters Box

Brett Ames has been involved in baseball for over 30 years. In this period of time he has played, provided private instruction, and coached at various levels. In 2009, he led the Canyon del Oro 11-12 All Star team to the Arizona State Championship Game. Coach Brett believes that baseball not only helps children on the field, but also off the field. He believes in simple concepts of sportsmanship, attitude, skill development, and hard work. While competition is necessary to become better, it should not be the focal point of playing the game, nor should winning become the only way to measure success. He believes that games are rewards for hard work at practice and serve as a sort of test to see what has been learned and what areas leave room for improvement.
